Did you know that every drug you take needs to be vigorously tested on humans before it can be licensed for widespread use? According to the World Health Organization, people volunteer to take part in clinical trials to test medical interventions including drugs, cells, and other biological products, surgical procedures, radiological procedures, devices, behavioral treatments, and preventive care.

However, up until now, drug companies have found it difficult to recruit non-white subjects into these trials.

Infiuss Health; our YC backed portfolio company solves this problem through its technology that helps pharmaceutical companies recruit more non-white subjects from Africa for clinical trials.

Slow enrollment accounts for nearly 40% of terminated trials. It takes an average of 9-12 months to recruit participants from Africa and engage with them to take part in these studies.

Infiuss software facilitates an easier, faster, and more seamless & cost-effective way to conduct clinical trials with improved diversity. More diversity and less friction at the trial stage means safer, more effective medicines for everyone!

Infiuss Health has facilitated the enrollment of over 20,000 trial participants in over 50 countries.

This isn’t just a great mission, it’s also a fantastic business. The market is massive! Before COVID-19, there was evidence that the number of clinical trials had steadily been increasing. In 2000, there were 2,119 clinical trials registered at Clinicaltrials.gov. By 2010, 100,208, and by 2020, 362,532 registered by the end of the year
